Job Store Staffing is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll/HR assistant. This role will primarily involve processing payroll for employees and other HR Duties. The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $22-32/hour
Duration: Long term temporary
Shift: Part time, 24-39 hours a week. Flexible Schedule
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies in employee hours worked.
- Support new hires throughout the onboarding process, including documentation, orientation, and initial training
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Track and move candidates through the recruitment and onboarding stages in the Payroll/HR system
- Ensure that all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Accurately input and maintain employee data in the HR system.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, payroll processing, or related roles.
- Proficiency with HCM platforms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, candidates, and other stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and payroll processing.
- Ability to address HR inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
- Understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality with employee information.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and HR processes.
- A friendly and professional demeanor when assisting employees and candidates.
- A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.
