REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a MIG welder or similar role with either Steel or Aluminum
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and processes, with the ability to produce high-quality welds on various metals.
- Familiarity with welding equipment and tools, including MIG welders, grinders, and cutting torches.
- Strong understanding of metal fabrication principles and techniques.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete welding projects efficiently and accurately.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments.
- Attention to detail and a focus on producing precise welds that meet quality standards.
JOB DUTIES
- Perform MIG welding operations to join or repair metal components according to blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and grinding surfaces as necessary.
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate settings for voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow.
- Weld components together using various welding techniques to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Inspect welded joints and assess weld quality using visual inspection and measuring tools.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Complete welding tasks efficiently and accurately to contribute to overall productivity and quality goals.
- Participate in training programs to enhance welding skills and stay updated on new techniques and technologies.
