Skills Needed:
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment is required.
- Must have experience using MRP/ERP systems, including basic knowledge of shipping software.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience is required.
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
- General understanding of warehousing practices.
- Proficiency in computer usage and data entry.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with acute attention to detail.
- Fast pace and keen attention to detail are essential attributes.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach overhead, twist, kneel, squat and lift to 50 pounds.
Job Duties:
- Organize stock parts in designated order for assembly by fellow workers.
- Compile customer orders from stock and either palletize them, shelve them, or deliver them to packing stations or shipping departments.
- Create worksheets or tickets based on customer specifications.
- Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations.
- Drive support vehicles to move stored items from the warehouse to the plant or to collect items from multiple sites for shipment.
- Fulfill requisitions, work/job orders, or material requests, and distribute items to production workers or assembly lines.
- Review production schedules, customer orders, sales orders, shipping orders, job orders, or requisitions to determine items for movement, collection, or distribution.
- Record quantities of materials or items received or distributed.
- Arrange and store materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined criteria such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Utilize computer systems for data entry.
- Weigh or count items for internal distribution within the plant to ensure compliance with company and ISO standards.
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and wheel dollies.
