Job Description

Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80919

Pay Range: $18–$22/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Summary
Join our team as a Metrology Technician and work alongside experienced metrology inspectors and the Quality Manager to promote quality achievement and continuous performance improvement across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to verify tolerances on custom-manufactured parts
  • Understand and apply the company’s manufacturing procedures and quality standards
  • Assist the Quality Manager with maintaining quality system documentation
  • Support data analysis for quality metrics such as on-time delivery, internal reworks, and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare quality reports and assist with corrective actions
  • Perform part inspections using Micro-Vu and Keyence CMMs (experience with either is a plus)
  • Conduct optical inspections and measure part thickness as needed
  • Interface with engineering and sales teams to support production and customer requirements
  • Provide support in other production areas as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3–10 years of relevant experience in metrology or a similar field
Preferred Skills & Considerations
  • Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and Lean Manufacturing practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficient with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and drop gauges
  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge or ability to learn TMP database systems
  • Experience using Micro-Vu and Keyence software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with strong calculation and data analysis skills
  • Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
