Work Schedule: (M-F) 8am-5pm
Pay: $18/hr.
Job Store Staffing is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for our client in Downtown Castle Rock for a temporary-to-hire opportunity. This position would be working for a State Agency and a great opportunity to become a permanent employee and receive state benefits.
In this position The Front Desk Receptionist will be facilitating between two departments for the Engineering and Community Development Departments. The Front Desk Receptionist will be working as part of a team to support Land Development business needs among both departments.
Specific duties in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Answering calls and greeting the public, provides detailed information, conveys messages, maintains schedules, handles requests for information, and resolves problems and complaints.
- Performs complex clerical tasks: compiles, codifies, verifies, and maintains records.
- Utilizes computer for preparation of complex correspondence and spreadsheet development, data entry and inquiry, and records research and maintenance.
- Performs complex calculations and tabulates figures. Controls and reconciles petty cash fund. Collects and receives payments. Reconciles and balances accounts.
- Sorts, processes and distributes department incoming and outgoing mail. Assists Departments with large mailing.
- Updates and maintains schedules and phone lists for Department. Monitors and maintains pool vehicles and equipment. Schedule’s meetings and approves/secures meeting locations.
- May act as backup in reconciling and deposits of daily cash receipts to the Treasurer for the Department.
- Maintains office equipment and facilities, including but not limited to: copiers, printers, fax machines, conference rooms, galley.
- Customer service and reliability are essential competencies for this position.
Requirements:
- Equivalent to a high school diploma and two (2) years’ experience in meeting the public and performing varied office and clerical tasks supplemented by courses in record keeping/data entry, and demonstrated typing skills OR any equivalent combination.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to develop routine reports and correspondence. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- 2-4 years of Customer Service or Front Desk experience in an office setting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
