Job Store Professional has teamed up with a prestigious custom builder in the Aspen community. Our client is seeking highly qualified Safety and Risk Manager looking to expand their knowledge and career in the high end custom construction industry.
Salary Range: 90-120K Annually

Overall responsibility is to create, implement, and manage a company-wide safety program in conjunction with the owner and the entire construction team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Manage ongoing personnel training.
• Work with subcontractors to ensure competent persons are actively engaged at appropriate times.
• Work with subcontractors to get appropriate personnel necessary training.
• Interface with current third party safety consultant, and use them as a resource for help developing plans, training, and site inspections.
• Work with owner on newly formed Roaring Fork Safety Association, assist in developing RFSA baseline safety plan / manual. Adopt as client safety plan.
• Leverage CESA membership for training discounts, etc.
• Work with assistant superintendents and superintendents on regular toolbox talks, weekly meetings with subcontractors to discuss safety hazards onsite and how to mitigate risk. Document meetings.
• Ongoing site safety checks and work to bring resolution to all issues identified. Document identified problems and the resolution thereof.
• Proactive planning of safety measures on all jobs. Work collaboratively with PMs and Superintendents to plan for each phase of construction.
• Work to build a better safety structure / culture on jobs. Encourage the use of and provide PPE.
• Prioritize fall protection, scaffolding, ladders, working in confined spaces, open excavations / trenches.
• Document project specific measures on Procore for each respective project.
• Safety purview includes Madigan + Company, Madigan Home Services (Home +), and any development projects undertaken by TBD development arm of the Madigan companies.
Risk Management
Candidate will assume management of risk mitigation measures and the administration thereof for all company branches. Some examples of the areas to be managed include but are not limited to:
• Assessment and tracking of company’s “annual” commercial insurance policies.
• Assume responsibility for all insurance audits, this will require coordination of the Admin staff.
• Confirmation and tracking of subcontractor insurance.
• Work with the company’s Insurance Captive administrator on ongoing management of the Captive.
Continued assessment of company’s areas of risk and how to insure and/or mitigate, to name a few examples:
Administrative Actions, Crime, Cyber liability, D&O, EPLI, Key Employee, Litigation Expense Reimbursement, Non-Damage Business Interruption, Pollution liability, Professional liability, Property DIC,
Property Management E&O, Reputational Risk, Trade Credit, Umbrella Excess, Subcontractor Default, Worker’s Comp, Equipment and auxiliary properties, Vehicles / transportation, Workplace violence.
