Job Description

Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Childcare Center Director to oversee daily operations of a busy early childhood education center. The ideal Childcare Center Director is a strong leader who is passionate about child development, staff mentorship, licensing compliance, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment for children and families. This is a temporary role lasting 3 months.
Pay & Schedule
  • Pay: $38/hour
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Overtime: OT as needed
  • Temp 3 months
Childcare Center Director Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations of a licensed childcare center
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor teaching and support staff
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local childcare licensing regulations
  • Maintain program quality and accreditation standards
  • Develop and implement curriculum and program goals that support child growth and learning
  • Build positive relationships with families through clear communication and support
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and professional development
  • Manage budgets, billing, and program resources
  • Provide classroom coverage when needed to support operations
Childcare Center Director Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Psychology, or related field preferred
  • Experience directing or managing a childcare center or early childhood program
  • Knowledge of licensing requirements and early childhood best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to coach and develop staff in a collaborative environment
  • Eligible to obtain required director qualifications for large childcare centers (as required)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Office and childcare classroom setting
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in classroom activities
