General Manager, Distribution Center

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking General Manager to lead a high-volume Distribution Center. This role is ideal for a hands-on operator who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and can elevate performance through strong leadership, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making.

As the senior leader onsite, you will guide daily operations, develop high-performing teams, and ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently, and aligned with broader supply chain objectives. This is an opportunity to influence long-term strategy while staying closely connected to warehouse floor activities.
Salary: $120K-135K
What You’ll Do
Operational Leadership
  • Direct day-to-day warehouse operations with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity
  • Lead and mentor Area Managers and front-line teams, fostering engagement and accountability
  • Address employee and customer issues with clarity, professionalism, and timely resolution
  • Ensure all activities support company-wide logistics and service goals
Strategic & Financial Oversight
  • Manage the site-level budget and track performance to key operational and financial targets
  • Drive cost savings through lean practices, process optimization, and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain responsibility for P&L performance and operational financial health
Inventory & Capacity Planning
  • Support forecasting, replenishment, layout planning, and workflow design
  • Improve inventory accuracy and visibility through metrics, systems, and best practices
  • Contribute to SOP creation and continuous refinement of processes
Continuous Improvement & Compliance
  • Champion ongoing improvements in safety, quality, automation, and productivity
  • Lead initiatives involving system upgrades, layout redesign, and operational innovation
  • Analyze and report on performance metrics to guide decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with supply chain, logistics, transportation, and planning teams
  • Support network-wide optimization and process alignment
  • Oversee outbound carrier relationships and negotiate efficient, cost-effective agreements
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management leadership role
  • Strong operational knowledge across fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and warehousing
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and lead through ambiguity
  • High comfort with KPIs, analytics, and data-driven decision-making
  • Proven experience developing cohesive, high-performance teams
  • Proficiency with WMS, ERP, TMS, and related systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Experience with automation or major process redesign
  • Background in multi-site or network operations
