Job Store Staffing seeks a Nonprofit QuickBooks Bookkeeper role for our client. The client empowers LGBTQIA2+ youth through advocacy, leadership, and support programs. Services include recreational activities and counseling for substance abuse. Established as a non-profit in 1995, they aim to expand programs and services for LGBTQIA2+ youth. This non-profit is dedicated to creating a safe space and fostering education in El Paso County.
Duration: Temporary (Approximately 3 weeks ending before the new year)
Pay Range: $19-$21 per hour
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80903
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Essential Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
- Record and classify all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and donations.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of the organization's budget.
- Track budget-to-actual variances and provide regular reports to management.
Record and reconcile donor contributions and grants in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards. - Generate acknowledgement letters for donors and provide necessary documentation for audits.
- Process and record vendor invoices and payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of funds.
General Skills:
- Proficient in database management (Donor Perfect), Microsoft Teams, and Office Suite
- Expertise in multitasking, ensuring high-quality results within deadlines
- Upholds strict donor and client confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks for nonprofit organizations.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
