About the Position:
The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for maintain a combination of cost accounting systems and will be responsible for preparing journal entries and maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts. The Senior Cost Accountant will also prepare monthly reports to verify Revenue Recognition is recorded properly based on IFRS 15 compliance/ASC 606 and will prepares ad hoc reports with variance analysis for management.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with month‐end and year-end close by processing journal entries and reconciliation.
- Prepares cost analysis of work orders as assigned, to monitor ERP system is accounting for costs correctly and to verify work orders are closed to match revenue recognition standards.
- Monitors monthly cycle counts of inventory, reporting on variances, verifying inventory adjustments required, getting approvals for adjustments, and summarizing data for management review.
- Ensures compliance with IFRS/GAAP requirements and any other regulatory requirements for the company.
- Responsible for working with internal and external auditors to help ensure the compliance and accuracy of our results.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- 5+ years' of experience in Accounting position
- Must have experience with Manufacturing Costing
- Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a proficient user of Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel, and 10-key by touch.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with an ERP system
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Salary: $70,000-92,500/year
Schedule: Rotating 5x8 or 4x10 schedule with every other Friday off
