Pay Rate: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
Location: Palmer Lake, CO
Accounting Manager Duties:
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development
- Oversee daily financial operations to ensure accuracy, accountability, and compliance
- Prepare and review financial reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly statements
- Analyze financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to leadership
- Manage budget planning and forecasting, conducting variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, GAAP, and industry regulations
- Oversee donor-restricted funds and ensure proper allocation and reporting
- Manage annual financial audits, 1099 preparation, and tax reporting
- Improve accounting processes through technology solutions and workflow optimizations
- Maintain and reconcile inventory records
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA certification required
5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in leadership
Experience working with a non-profit organization
Proficiency in Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online
Advanced Excel skills
Familiarity with GAAP Accounting Principles
Experience with AI tools in accounting
