Job Store Staffing has partnered with a client in the printing industry to recruit for an Accounting Supervisor in the Denver, Colorado area. The Accounting Supervisor will be a direct hire opportunity.
The position will be onsite S Sante and I-25.
Salary: $70,000-75,000/year
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Serves as the lead Accounting Supervisor, overseeing the development, management, and administration of the Print Manufacturing Accounting Systems, as well as the related activities of the company’s accounting team.
Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Supervisor:
- Oversee accounts payable operations, including invoice and statement reviews, as well as payment processing.
- Track bank transactions and ensure timely updates in the Accounting System.
- Manage credit card transactions for all cardholders, ensuring accurate posting to the Accounting System.
- Handle monthly closing tasks such as inventory reconciliation, adjustments, ink tote reconciliation, accruals, and A/P close.
- Maintain quality control over accounting transactions.
- Assist with and coordinate annual and periodic external audits.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting and tax filing requirements, including 1099s.
- Develop and document accounting policies and business processes to enhance internal controls.
- Conduct process reviews and implement improvements focused on operational efficiency and output quality.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills of the Accounting Supervisor:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university, or equivalent education and experience demonstrating the required skills.
- Five to seven years of progressive experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting principles to non-financial staff effectively.
