Job Store Staffing is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Housing Resource Navigator for a client in the Littleton, CO area. The candidate must speak fluent English and Spanish. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting individuals and families in securing stable housing. The Housing Resource Navigator will work closely with clients to assess their needs, connect them with appropriate resources, and facilitate access to housing options.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, hybrid schedule. Candidates must be comfortable working from their Littleton and Aurora offices as well as remote work.
Pay: $30-$35/hr
Duration: 7 months with a possibility of extension
Bilingual Housing Resource Navigator Responsibilities
- Assist community members with completion of applications as needed or requested.
- Provide weekly reports and documentation for interactions internally and externally.
- Evaluate the needs of households experiencing housing instability or homelessness.
- Assesses barriers and partners with the household to facilitate removal of barriers and to identify support systems that will assist the household in achieving goals and promoting independence.
- Develop household specific case plans to identify the needs and gaps of each family household member.
- Communicate the case plan to households.
- Engage in regular contact with assigned caseload and document all contact, follow-up and achievements.
- Assist families with solving for needs and gaps including keeping appointments, applying for housing, transportation needs, accessing behavioral health systems and any other identified needs for the household.
- Apply principles of comprehensive, community-based, trauma informed care with providing resources and providing follow-up as needed.
- Coordinate with community agencies, landlords, and other resources in the community.
Bilingual Housing Resource Navigator Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with landlords or property management entities.
- Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and other rental assistance resources.
- Experience in crisis intervention and management; ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling principles is a plus.
- Proficient in using technology platforms such as OneSite for managing client information and housing resources.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- A commitment to advocating for social justice and improving the lives of individuals facing housing instability.
