Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Childcare Center Director to oversee daily operations of a busy early childhood education center. The ideal Childcare Center Director is a strong leader who is passionate about child development, staff mentorship, licensing compliance, and creating a safe, engaging learning environment for children and families. This is a temporary role lasting 3 months.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $38/hour
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Overtime: OT as needed
- Temp 3 months
Childcare Center Director Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of a licensed childcare center
- Lead, supervise, and mentor teaching and support staff
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local childcare licensing regulations
- Maintain program quality and accreditation standards
- Develop and implement curriculum and program goals that support child growth and learning
- Build positive relationships with families through clear communication and support
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and professional development
- Manage budgets, billing, and program resources
- Provide classroom coverage when needed to support operations
Childcare Center Director Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience directing or managing a childcare center or early childhood program
- Knowledge of licensing requirements and early childhood best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to coach and develop staff in a collaborative environment
- Eligible to obtain required director qualifications for large childcare centers (as required)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Office and childcare classroom setting
- Frequent movement throughout the facility
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist in classroom activities
