Circuit Board Assembler
Pay: $16 - $17/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling products according to specifications using hand tools and equipment. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work instructions closely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret assembly drawings, product documentation, and work instructions.
Assemble products using wiring, soldering, crimping, and other techniques.
Perform preparatory tasks including inspecting and counting parts, trimming and stripping wire leads, and reaming holes for component insertion.
Insert and secure wires and components onto boards using hand tools.
Crimp wire leads, press-fit components, and solder wire joints to ensure proper electrical connections.
Install additional components such as heat sinks, sockets, and faceplates.
Perform quality checks and address any non-compliance issues.
Understand and follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control procedures.
Work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Cross-train in other tasks to assist in different areas as needed.
Operate surface mount equipment when required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently.
At least 2 years in circuit board manufacturing
Experience in ISO9001 or AS9100-certified manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods and walk short distances.
Manual dexterity to handle, reach, and grasp small components.
Ability to use a computer and microscope for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, along with color recognition.
Work Environment:
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and chemicals (MSDS available on-site).
Moderate noise level in the work environment.
