Job Store Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Class A CDL Driver for a client in the Denver, CO area! The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of trucks and trailers. The Class A CDL Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm
Pay: $28-$33/hr
Class A CDL Driver Responsibilities
- Operate various types of trucks, including flatbed, dump truck, tractor-trailer, refrigerated trailer, and tanker.
- Safely load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist in training new drivers on safe driving practices and company policies.
Class A CDL Driver Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle being driven.
- Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with freight handling, including loading/unloading procedures.
- Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as flatbeds or tankers is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the trucking industry.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
