Job Store Staffing is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a leading medical device manufacturer in the South Englewood area. The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician involves hands-on assembly and fabrication of high-precision electromechanical components used in advanced medical technology. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused production environment.
Pay: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Responsibilities of the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
- Assemble and fabricate precision medical devices using microscopes, small tools, and fixtures.
- Perform manual assembly operations and basic electronic testing to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with engineers and production leaders to troubleshoot, improve processes, and increase throughput.
- Apply structured analytical methods to identify, predict, and resolve production issues.
- Maintain documentation and communicate clearly about production status and issues.
- Train peers, share best practices, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Qualifications of the Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly, repair, or troubleshooting, or equivalent technical training.
- Precision and dexterity working under microscopes (feature sizes around 0.005”).
- Understanding of basic electrical principles, including resistors, capacitors, and circuit behavior.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small-scale components.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident status required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of piezoelectricity, RF devices, or resonance principles.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and ISO 13485/FDA-regulated environments.
- Strong computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel).
- AAS degree or technical coursework in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering Technology preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform repetitive, detailed work under a microscope for extended periods.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Work performed in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
