Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Electronics Solderer for our electronics manufacturing client. We’re looking for a motivated individual with a strong attention to detail who demonstrates a mastery of soldering skills to assemble high quality printed circuit boards.

Shift: Full Time - 8 hour shift - Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay: $16/hour
Duration: Temporary (1-2 months) with possibility of contract-to-hire

Job Description:
Using hand tools and other equipment, construct and assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) by placing, installing, wiring, adhering, soldering, and crimping components such as transistors, resistors, relays, capacitors, integrated circuits, heat sinks, sockets, faceplates, and accessories
Must be able to read, interpret, and understand assembly drawings, product specific documentation, work instructions, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls
Must perform duties in accordance to work instructions, IPC 610 Class 2 and Class 3 standards, and IPC-A-610 workmanship STD and/or IPC J-STD-001 (Certification a plus)
Work diligently and with a sense of urgency while also ensuring top quality of assembly and materials by performing quality checks on prior steps, and advising appropriately for any non-compliance or other quality issues
Additional responsibilities as assigned may include cross training in order to be able to assist other workers/sections in their tasks, and assisting or leading in the operation surface mount equipment
Routine Tasks and Responsibilities:
First, with respect to polarity and component identification, identify thru-hole and surface mount parts
Then, prepare parts by inspecting, counting, twisting, bending, trimming, stripping, or filing wire leads of components
After reaming holes in the boards, insert color-coded wire leads into designated holes and clinch wire ends using pliers and hand tools
Press-fit component leads onto boards
On the underside of the boards, crimp and solder wire leads and joints using a soldering iron, hand tools, or press, to rout and connect lead wires to boards and between individual components
Qualifications:
3 years of assembly experience preferred
3 years of electronic assembly preferred
Experience in working an ISO9001 or AS9100 certified electronics-manufacturing environment required
To be considered for this position, you must have SMT experience.
