Job Store Staffing is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Berthoud, CO to hire an experienced Fabrication Welder I / II. This is an excellent opportunity for welders and fabricators looking to join a stable team where they can utilize their welding, fitting, and fabrication skills while working on custom equipment, structural components, skids, platforms, and pressure vessel components. The Fabrication Welder position is a Direct Hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Pay/ Hours

· $25.00 - $34.00/hour

· 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM

· Overtime Required. Typical work week is 45 – 50 hour

What You'll Do

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, shop prints, and welding symbols
• Layout, fit-up, assemble, fabricate, and weld structural and custom assemblies
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys
• Fabricate skids, platforms, supports, frames, and miscellaneous structural components
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, alignment, and assembly orientation
• Perform weld preparation including grinding, beveling, fitting, and material preparation
• Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, plate rolls, band saws, ironworkers, magnetic drills, grinders, and hand tools
• Safely operate overhead cranes, rigging equipment, and material handling equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a welding qualification test
• Experience reading blueprints and welding symbols
• Experience with MIG welding of carbon steel and stainless-steel Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Fabrication Welder I

• 1-3 years of welding and/or fabrication experience preferred

Fabrication Welder II

• 3-5+ years of fabrication shop experience preferred
• Experience with layout, fit-up, and fabrication of structural assemblies preferred
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes and plate rolls preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective clothing
