Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Range: $20–$26/hour
Location: West Colorado Springs
Duration: Temporary through September
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in benefits administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred)
- Experience with cloud-based HRIS (Workday HCM strongly preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage benefits data and ensure compliance with policies
- Must be spiritually aligned with the mission of the organization and willing to sign a Statement of Faith
Benefits Specialist Duties
- Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 403(b) benefit programs
- Determine eligibility and process enrollments and status changes in the HRIS system
- Lead benefits portions of new hire orientation and support open enrollment
- Respond to inquiries from employees and managers regarding benefits and retirement plans
- Manage all leave-of-absence requests, including FMLA, disability, and personal leave
- Generate reports for billing and benefit allocations
- Participate in organizational training, reviews, and compliance initiatives
- Cross-train with teammates and assist with invoice payments
- Support overall HR administrative functions as needed
