Job Store Professional is partnering with a top-tier environmental consulting firm in Boulder, Colorado, to find an experienced Senior Hydrogeologist specializing in groundwater modeling. This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in high-impact environmental projects that span industries like water supply, mining, energy, and more.
As the Senior Hydrogeologist, you will provide advanced groundwater modeling and hydrogeological support to a diverse array of clients. Working closely with a team of talented scientists and engineers, your expertise will drive innovative and sustainable solutions, making a real difference in environmental resource management.
What You'll Do:
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Provide specialized geological and hydrogeological expertise, executing projects with confidence and precision.
  • Lead Groundwater Investigations: Guide high-impact studies in groundwater/surface water interactions, groundwater modeling, and resource development.
  • Innovate in Groundwater Modeling: Tackle projects requiring NPDES, LUST, RCRA, NEPA, and CERCLA knowledge, among others.
  • Collaborate & Conquer: Work alongside a team of scientists and engineers to perform transport modeling for essential environmental projects.
  • Analyze & Interpret: Dive into pumping/slug test data, develop groundwater models, and transform data into actionable reports for our clients.
  • Take Charge of Projects: Manage tasks, present technical findings, and ensure project milestones are hit within tight deadlines.
What You'll Bring:
  • Expertise & Education: MS or Ph.D. in Geoscience or Environmental Engineering, specializing in hydrogeology and quantitative modeling.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on modeling experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact results.
  • Tech-Savvy Problem Solver: Proficiency in groundwater modeling software (MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and analytical tools (AQTESOLV). Strong skills with GIS, MS Office Suite, SURFER, and more.
  • Clear Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with project management experience to boot.
  • Certifications & Extras: Professional certifications are a bonus, and programming skills are a plus.
