Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team on 2nd shift. This role requires someone skilled in coating and painting techniques, who can work independently and efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
Pay: $18/hour + $2.00 shift differential
Key Responsibilities:
Mix and select coating paints to achieve desired colors, and prepare spray equipment by cleaning, adjusting, or maintaining spray guns.
Prepare metal surfaces for painting using sanding, grinding, or other hand and power tools as needed.
Follow directions from the area lead while also taking initiative and working independently when required.
Read and understand technical documents, such as paint mixing procedures and work instructions, and ensure proper operation of all spraying equipment.
Learn and apply painting techniques to meet productivity goals, maintain correct mil thickness, and handle all aspects of the painting process.
Clean spraying equipment daily using solvent or recommended cleaning solutions.
Maintain organization and cleanliness in the paint mix room, paint booth, and equipment, following all company safety protocols.
Use the breathing air supply system and maintain proper respiratory care when spraying epoxy paints.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial painting.
Minimum 3 years of experience with paint sprayers and related equipment.
Minimum 3 years of experience prepping metals for finish coats and painting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, painting diagrams, and other technical documents.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude when interacting with coworkers, management, and clients.
Willingness to learn new skills, grow within the role, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
