The Production Shift Supervisor role will oversee all aspects of shift operations, including personnel management, machine troubleshooting, scheduling, training, and process improvements. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, hands-on injection molding experience, and a continuous improvement mindset. Pay/ Hours
- Night shift 7pm-7am
- $65-85k/yr
Responsibilities of the Production Shift Supervisor:
- Supervise all production shift personnel: assign tasks, review performance, provide coaching and discipline as needed
- Lead a small team of associates to execute daily production tasks and ensure shift goals are met
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime
- Coordinate and perform mold setups and startups as needed
- Monitor and improve efficiency, productivity, and equipment utilization
- Prioritize mold changeovers, production schedules, and staffing assignments
- Collect and analyze downtime data; develop action plans to reduce downtime
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved
- Enforce safety policies and procedures across the production floor
- Train and mentor new and existing production team members
- Promote and implement Lean manufacturing principles and maintain 5S standards
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, molds, hydraulics, and machine setup
- Basic understanding of electricity and electronic circuitry is a plus
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and experience with production software
- Frequently required to reach, lift overhead, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds regularly
