Job Description
Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant in Denver, Co. This position is a Temporary- to- Hire position for the right candidate. The Accounting Assistant will oversee and process weekly payroll at an electrical organization utilizing QuickBooks. This position is required to maintain confidentiality of employee information. This is an in-office position.
Compensation for this Role: $25-30/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Responsibilities:
- Organize office and assist associates in ways that optimize procedures
- Keep accounting data up to date and accurate
- Generate payroll weekly
- Pay vendors timely
- Collect and follow up on invoices
- Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
- Resolve office-related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
- Maintain trusting relationships with suppliers, customers and colleagues
- Perform receptionist duties when needed
- Responsible for processing weekly payroll for small company
- Manage all office invoicing
- Manage all company collections and run reports
- Track and request missing timesheets, identify and correct import errors
- Process all functions related to garnishments
- Communicate with customers and clients
- Oversee office operations and supplies
- Monitor Payroll mailbox and phones
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience running payroll
- Must have QuickBooks Experience
- Prefer experience processing garnishments from checks such as child support, taxes, 401k
- Prefer advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience as a back-office assistant, office assistant, or in another relevant administrative role
- Thorough understanding of Quickbooks
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
