Job Description
Job Store Staffing is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrative Assistant. This position is a three-month temporary position with the potential to go permanent after the completion of the temporary contract. The Payroll Administrative Assistant processes a weekly payroll at an electrical organization. This position is required to maintain confidentiality of employee information. This is an in-office position.
Compensation for this Role: $25.00- 30.00/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Payroll Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
· Responsible for Pre-Time Processing for a weekly payroll in UKG software
· Perform maintenance of employee information in Spectrum with a focus on accuracy, including but not limited to, new hire set up, rate changes, address changes, and garnishment set up
· Scan and maintain employee documentation noted above into Spectrum
· Prepare and process the weekly salary timesheet workbook
· Track and request missing timesheets, identify and correct import errors
· Process all functions related to garnishments
· Review pre-time reports and turn over for payroll processing
· Prepare pre-note direct deposit upload file and activate pre-notes in Spectrum
· E-mail ACH direct deposit (paystub) as requested and weekly pay statement e-mail
· Receive term paperwork and prepare for processing, calculate vacation payout
· Track and update PTO hour banks as employee tenure changes
· Monitor Payroll mailbox and phones
· Reconcile and maintain book deduction spreadsheet provided by HR.
Certified Payroll Responsibilities:
· Manage all aspects of Certified Payroll
This includes hourly rate calculations, form requirements, monitor sub-contractors’ paperwork, weekly filings, utilize LCP tracker portal and manage the OA Certificates and apprentice agreements.
· Provide documentation required for NREL projects. Maintain communication both internal and external. Update and maintain the Master Fringe Benefit worksheet for the City and County of Denver.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must have a minimum of two years of experience running payroll for 500+ employees each week.
· Prefer experience processing garnishments from checks such as child support, taxes, 401k.
· Prefer advanced level experience in Microsoft Excel.
