Prep Cook
Location: Downtown Colorado Springs
Pay Rate: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 AM - 7 PM
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Cook to join our kitchen team at a school in downtown Colorado Springs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly, community-focused environment, preparing nutritious meals for our students.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and assist in cooking meals according to the school menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Assist with inventory management and order supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a prep cook in a school or nursing home setting is required.
- Must have at least six months job related experience in a residential/institutional environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
