Job Description

Job Store Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Prepress Operator with at least 3 years of experience in a high-volume prepress environment supporting Web Offset and Digital presses. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, highly organized, and thrives in a deadline-driven production environment. The Prepress Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of printed materials before they reach the press. The is a direct hire opportunity in the Denver area.

Pay/ Hours
  • $25-30/hr
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday 6am-6pm
  • This job requires 36-50 hours a week
Key Responsibilities of the Prepress Operator
  • Preflight, edit, and troubleshoot customer-supplied files to ensure they meet job specifications
  • Process and trap files using Kodak Prinergy workflow system
  • Identify and communicate potential issues or production risks to the Account Management team
  • Create impositions using Kodak Preps for proofs and press-ready files
  • RIP files and output to proofing and plate-making devices
  • Conduct quality control checks at every stage of the prepress workflow
  • Maintain file integrity and proper job documentation throughout production
  • Support production with additional duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a prepress environment, preferably in Web Offset and Digital print
  • Strong knowledge of Mac OS and industry-standard software
  • Proficiency with:
    • Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat)
    • Enfocus PitStop Pro
    • Kodak Prinergy Connect (Workshop)
    • Kodak Preps Imposition Software
    • QuarkXPress (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of RIPing, trapping, color management, and print production standards
