This role is ideal for an experienced planning professional ready to take ownership of production scheduling, capacity planning, and cross-functional coordination to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
As the Production Planner/Scheduler III, you will play a key role in developing and managing detailed production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory levels, and resource availability. You will collaborate with teams across procurement, operations, logistics, and quality to drive on-time delivery and optimize plant performance.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain master production schedules aligned with forecasts and inventory goals.
- Translate customer demand into actionable production work orders.
- Partner with procurement and inventory teams to ensure material availability and address supply risks.
- Optimize capacity across work centers and identify workflow improvements.
- Monitor daily production performance and resolve bottlenecks or schedule conflicts.
- Utilize ERP/MRP tools to manage and analyze production data.
- Lead scheduling meetings to align cross-functional priorities.
- Support new product introductions and integrate plans into production schedules.
- Mentor junior planners and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of production planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, M2M, or similar).
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and lead times.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma practices.
- Background in demand planning or forecasting tools.
- Advanced Excel or data visualization (Power BI, Tableau).
