Job Store Staffing is currently seeking Manufacturing Sanitation Technicians (General Helpers) for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client. This role is critical to supporting daily manufacturing operations by maintaining sanitary conditions, cleaning equipment, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
 
Location: South Colorado Springs, 80905
Shifts: 
Monday – Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Monday – Friday, 2:15 pm – 10:45 pm
Pay: $16-17/hour
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Remove trash daily from all manufacturing and production areas
  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing rooms, floors, doors, curtains, and work surfaces
  • Sweep and mop all manufacturing floors according to sanitation schedules
  • Prepare and properly mix cleaning and sanitizing solutions
  • Maintain sanitation logs by documenting daily cleaning activities
  • Clean portable equipment including scoops, spatulas, stainless steel containers, plastic drums, carts, and tables
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble compounding equipment such as Fitzmills, V-blenders, ribbon blenders, oscillators, hand screens, and oven trays
  • Remove old labels and relabel drums, pallets, and containers; weigh containers and record tare weights
  • Support the compounding department by installing plastic drum liners and removing trash during production
  • Perform inventory checks of gowning supplies and ensure departments are stocked with PPE such as gloves, masks, sleeves, and back supports
  • Assist with training on SOPs related to equipment cleaning and sanitation
  • Follow all safety, PPE, and respiratory protection requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of experience in manufacturing, sanitation, or production experience
  • Comfortable following detailed instructions and safety procedures
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Mechanically inclined with basic troubleshooting ability
  • Team-oriented and dependable
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting with required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be comfortable working near moving machinery and airborne particles
  • Regular standing, walking, lifting, and reaching required
