Job Store Staffing is seeking a Cook for a school in the Downtown Colorado Springs area. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated candidate who has the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $17/hour *WEEKLY PAY*
Duration: Long Term Temp
Shifts:
M-F 5:30am-1:30pm
M-F 11:00am-7:00pm
Or Mon-Thurs 11:00am-7:00pm and Fri 6:00am-2:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Prepare fruits, vegetables, sandwiches and salads in accordance with standardized recipes and serving sizes
- Serve hot and cold food to students and staff according to measured serving sizes
- Prepare, set up, and replenish food as needed for regular meals and special campus events/meetings
- Comply with policies and procedures regarding food storage, FIFO labeling, food safety, and specific dietary plans
- Clean/sanitize work areas
Additional Staff Expectations:
- Employees must:
- Wear disposable gloves while handling food
- Wear black, brown, or khaki pants; a black or white collared shirt; and non-slip work shoes
- NOT have nail polish, false nails, dangling jewelry, food, or beverages in food preparation/service areas
Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 months of institutional/residential food service experience required
- Experience serving meals accommodating food allergies and modified diets
- Attendance expected during inclement weather due to essential food service function
- English literacy proficiency to read recipes, instructions, labels, timelines, and schedules
- Professional and effective communication skills with managers and co-workers
