Job Description
Job Store Professional is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for an exciting Direct Hire role with a well established and rapidly growing manufacturer of water metering technology.
Monday-Friday 8AM- 5PM Schedule
Salary: $80-95K Annually
Competitive benefits package on the first of the month following date of hire.

Here is what we need…
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
• Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.
• Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.
• Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected financial position for managers.
• Audits contracts, orders, and vouchers, and prepares reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to settlement.
• Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.
• Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
• Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
• Documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting systems and accounting control procedures.
• Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
• Ability to multitask by working in a face paced, constantly changing environment
• Excellent time management skills with the ability and willingness to meet deadlines imposed by monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-close activities through preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and monthly close reporting.
• Preparation and coordination of the monthly financial results and the identification and reporting of key monthly expenses
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned General Ledger accounts.
• Responsible for the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Identifies and resolves complex accounting transactions and processes and is responsible for the creation and publication of detailed financial and operating metrics.
• Manages multi-state monthly Sales and Use Tax returns.
• Assist in management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Assist in bank and corporate audits.
• Compose ad hoc reports and/or spreadsheets as needed and requested by management.
• Evaluate and offer suggestions to process improvements and evaluate financial internal controls. Test and ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Here are the skills, experience, and education we are seeking…
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field plus 4 years related industry experience.
• Financial Planning and Analysis experience a plus
• Must be confident in GAAP standards.
• Experience presenting to Board members is a plus.
