We’re partnering with a leading organization to find a Senior Supply Chain Buyer who will drive strategic procurement initiatives and ensure a seamless flow of materials and services to support operations. About the Role:
The Senior Supply Chain Buyer will oversee all aspects of the purchasing process, from supplier negotiations to contract management, and will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement across procurement activities. This role collaborates cross-functionally and plays a strategic role in ensuring materials are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the procurement of materials, components, and services across multiple categories
Execute strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership and improve supplier performance
Evaluate and negotiate contracts, bids, and purchase orders
Collaborate with program management to determine material requirements and schedule deliveries
Monitor vendor performance, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness
Identify and resolve issues related to defective or delayed goods
Maintain compliance with internal policies and government regulations
Track inventory levels to support accurate purchasing decisions and maintain safety stock
Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain vendor records
Develop and improve procurement policies and reporting tools
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
4–6 years of procurement or supply chain experience
Proficiency in Excel, Oracle/Netsuite, MS Office Suite, and Fishbowl
Strong negotiation and contract interpretation skills
Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of an organization
