Job Store Staffing is hiring a Part-Time Accounting Specialist for a manufacturing company in Colorado Springs, CO!
 
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
 Schedule: Part-Time | 20 hours per week
 
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the accounting functions of a busy manufacturing company. This position will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, financial close activities, internal controls, and audit preparation.
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking for a part-time position with a consistent 20-hour workweek.
 
Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end close activities and prepare journal entries.
  • Maintain and update accounts receivable.
  • Maintain and update accounts payable.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial close workbooks.
  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal accounting controls.
  • Ensure accounting procedures comply with applicable GAAP/IFRS standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and financial information.
  • Review accounting records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the accounting team with additional projects and duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications
  • 2 years accounting experience required.
  • Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with journal entries and month-end close processes.
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Manufacturing or industry experience is a plus.
