Supply Chain Specialist
Location: Colorado Springs, 80906
Pay: $25 - $30 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, starting at either 7 AM or 8 AM
Our manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to manage procurement, inventory planning, and supplier relationships. This role involves trend forecasting to anticipate inventory needs and ensure smooth production and retail operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Procure raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods, tools, and supplies.
- Request quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier agreements.
- Identify new and alternative supply sources.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve non-conforming material issues.
- Maintain supplier records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Monitor demand to align production and sales needs.
- Lead supplier communications and negotiations.
- Prepare reports on cost analysis, purchasing, and production trends.
- Develop and maintain production plans and inventory strategies.
- Troubleshoot supply chain challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Create, modify, and analyze Bills of Materials (BOM) for multiple product lines.
- Ensure accurate financial transactions, including pricing and foreign currency conversions.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and multi-task effectively.
- Travel as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have at least five years of managerial experience in supply chain setting.
- Associate’s degree in business, supply chain management, or equivalent experience
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word); MRP/ERP system experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Work Environment:
- Office setting with moderate noise levels.
- Extended periods of sitting or standing while working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
- Regular verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
