About the Role
In this role, you will be the go-to expert for leading tax engagements, preparing federal and state income tax returns for a variety of clients, and mentoring junior staff. You'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships and play a crucial role in our client's continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, closely held businesses, and various entity types.
- Lead tax engagements through all phases, including tax research, planning, and projections.
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with clients, addressing and resolving inquiries.
- Train and supervise junior tax staff, fostering their development and growth.
What We're Looking For:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 4+ years of recent public accounting tax experience. CPA license or eligibility required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office (CCH ProSystem and Axcess software experience is a plus).
- Professionalism: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Bonus: Previous experience in business development is a plus.
Compensation:
- Salary: $73,500 - $95,000/year, depending on experience.
