Job Store Staffing is seeking a Welder (Level 2) for our client in Colorado Springs!
This is a hands-on role for a skilled welder who can interpret shop drawings, perform high-quality welds on a variety of materials, and contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing team. If you're experienced with GMAW and MCAW processes and take pride in your craft, we’d love to hear from you!
Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm
Overtime may be required, including weekends
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $25.00/hour
Duration: Long term temporary, with possibility of permanent hire
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform welding using GMAW and MCAW processes
- Use hand tools such as grinders, clamps, hammers, and layout tools
- Interpret work instructions, weld procedures, and shop drawings with welding symbols
- Fit and weld moderate to complex assemblies using shop math
- Troubleshoot basic welding equipment issues
- Accurately complete paperwork like travelers and checklists
- Inspect welds and identify defects using visual inspection tools
- Cross-train within and occasionally outside the welding department
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S standards
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of experience as a welder (preferably in industrial setting)
- Ability to pass qualification tests using GMAW and MCAW
- Familiarity with shop drawings, welding symbols, and measuring tools
- Experience working with carbon steel and stainless steel
