Job Store Staffing is currently seeking a Welder for our client! The Welder will perform both MIG and TIG Welding functions to cut and join aluminum and other metals. Our family-owned and operated client has been a leader in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing for over 50 years! 

Location: North-West Colorado Springs, CO 80907

Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00/hour 

Duration: Contract to Hire

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reads blueprints or drawings and takes measurements to plan layout and procedures 

• Determines and executes appropriate welding method based on specifications 

• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

• Straighten parts as needed using heat, press, clamps or other methods

• Tests and inspects welded surfaces to ensure production quality  

• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• At least two years of welding experience

• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and drawings

• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)

• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus

• Prior experience working with stainless steel preferred

• Team communication skills and strong attention to detail are essential
